Identify the intended die arrangement

The official MISUMI category separates ordinary button dies, scrap-retention variants, non-clogging types, blanks and related spacers or collars. These are separate catalogue groups, not automatic replacements for each other.

Before requesting a match

1. Identify the existing series, complete part number and drawing revision.
2. Specify workpiece material, thickness, hole geometry and intended clearance.
3. Provide outer diameter, cutting profile, overall length, shoulder and mounting details.
4. Record material, heat treatment or hardness only when supported by the drawing or specification.
5. Describe scrap handling, wear or breakage symptoms, operating rate and required quantity.

This checklist defines inputs for review; it does not assign a safe clearance, load, lifetime or fit to an unverified part.

Evidence before substitution

A photograph helps identify form but cannot establish tolerances. Compare the exact manufacturer's drawing against the installation and agree acceptance criteria before ordering a replacement.
