Piercing a hole: define the finished result

Turn a piercing problem into a reviewable component request.

What must leave the press?

Start with the finished part drawing: hole geometry and tolerance, burr direction, surface acceptance, material grade and thickness range. Establish whether the punched-out piece is scrap or the saleable part before selecting a retention feature.

Where does the problem appear?

These observations organise an engineering review; they do not diagnose a cause or authorise a replacement.
